Salary:  Grade 4 £20,092 – £21,784 (pro rata £17,147 – £18,560)

Hours: Term time. 37 hours. Flexible working hours.

Responsible to: Board of Directors

Job Purpose and Role: To provide a professional clerking service to a portfolio of school and academy clients. The postholder will be accountable to the Trust Board of Directors, Local Governing Boards, working effectively with Chairs, Headteachers and other Governors on identified tasks and ensure all appropriate follow up action has been taken. The postholder will work towards advising Governing Boards on governance, constitutional and procedural matters and will work within the broad current legislative framework. The postholder will adhere to confidentiality at all times.

Amethyst Academies Trust seek to appoint a Clerk to the Governors who will play a vital role providing support across a wide range of governance and administrative areas to the Board of Directors.

The Clerk will have experience of operating at a senior level and be able to respond both proactively and reactively to a diverse range of different requirements.

The successful candidate must have a keen attention to detail and be willing to attend regular training as needed. You will be comfortable working at pace and will possess a strong work ethic and exceptional communication skills.

Job Purpose and Role: To lead on the provision of a forward thinking, responsive and professional HR service; ensuring the Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) remains compliant with employment law, health and safety, conditions of service, policies/procedures, and best practice guidance.

We are currently looking for a full-time experienced HR Director to join our dedicated Central Services team at Amethyst Academies Trust. Reporting to the CEO, you will support delivery of the HR service, by working alongside people managers across the MAT.

You will have a proactive and collaborative approach with drive and enthusiasm to champion the service and the way it is delivered to our stakeholders.

This is a fast paced, senior role, which proactively advises, supports and coaches people managers across our organisation.

Sitting within a central team you will work on a variety of cases, both high volume and varying in complexity, ensuring the best possible outcome for everyone. You will case manage your own case load and be responsible for updating the team and wider MAT on case performance and progress on a regular basis.

This role will suit someone who is a good communicator, agile in approach, able to translate business issues into proactive solutions whilst guiding, supporting and educating managers through formal business processes. You will need to be methodical, organised and have a strong ability to prioritise.

An important aspect of this role will be to work with the Executive team to ensure that people capabilities are developed in order to deliver strategic goals and objectives across the Trust.

Ideally, you will be CIPD-qualified, and/or have experience in working as a leader in HR in a multi-site, diverse operation at the level described, with exposure to high volume, complex casework.
