Celebrating Our Students’ Outstanding GCSE and A Level Results

This summer, students across Amethyst Academies Trust celebrated outstanding GCSE and vocationall results, alongside strong post-16 qualifications, that reflect years of hard work, resilience and ambition. These outcomes are about far more than grades on a page; they represent the belief, care and determination invested by our young people, their families, and the teachers and support staff who champion them every day. Across every one of our schools, this summer’s results tell a story we are enormously proud to share.

Outstanding GCSE and A Level Results Across Our Schools

At Amethyst Sixth, students achieved a strong overall value-added score of 0.17, with particularly impressive results in Law, Psychology, Business and Medical Science, giving students a fantastic springboard into higher education and apprenticeships. Aldersley High School exceeded its ambitious Attainment 8 target with a score of 45.4, and the number of students achieving grade 7 or above in mathematics rose from 10 to 37 in a single year.

At Penn Hall School and Tettenhall Wood School, students secured excellent outcomes across EHCP targets, functional skills and GCSE pathways, including one student’s remarkable three-year journey to a Grade 5 in GCSE Mathematics, a true example of what perseverance and high expectations can achieve.

A Trust Built on Kindness and Ambition

Our CEO, Nicola Licata, leads with a simple but profound philosophy: be kind. It builds trust, connection and excellence, and this summer’s results are proof of exactly what that looks like in practice across our family of schools. As our students move on to university, apprenticeships, employment and further study, we congratulate every one of them on all they have achieved and look forward to hearing about their next chapter.
