On behalf of the Amethyst Academies Trust, I am thrilled to congratulate Aldersley High School for maintaining its esteemed ‘Good’ status following the recent OFSTED inspection on 13th and 14th June 2023. This recognition is a clear reflection of the unwavering commitment, dedication, and collective efforts of every individual within the school community.
During the OFSTED team’s visit to the secondary school on Barnhurst Lane, they remarked, ‘Pupils are eager to rise to the high expectations set by leaders and take immense pride in the quality of their work.’ Such observations not only make us proud as a Trust but also validate our shared vision of fostering an optimal learning environment.
A highlight of the inspection was the evident embodiment of the Amethyst Academies Trust’s vision. The inspection team was particularly impressed by the statement, ‘Leaders are of the firm belief that there should be no limits set on what any student can achieve.’ The comprehensive curriculum that caters to students from Year 7 to Year 13 was notably commended.
Furthermore, the school’s SEND provision received high praise. The inspection team observed, ‘The leadership utilises a vast reservoir of expertise to pinpoint the needs of pupils with SEND accurately.’ The tailored support that these students receive, which promotes and nurtures their personal growth, was also appreciated.
The team’s concluding remarks highlighted the school’s nurturing environment, stating, ‘Pupils are well-aware of the high expectations teachers have regarding their behaviour in lessons. They are engaged in their learning and consistently support one another.’ This is a testament to the positive and encouraging atmosphere that Aldersley High School has cultivated.
