Jim Inglis was, for many years, a regional director and a member of the Standard Chartered Bank Group specialising in commercial finance and loans. Prior to this, he was with the Department of Trade mainly involved with commercial relations and exports. More recently he ran his own insurance business. He has a degree in economics, is a Chartered Insurance Practitioner, and is a certified financial planner. In addition to being Chair of Governors at Aldersley High School, he is also chair of trustees of Circles Network a charity dedicated to social inclusion and advocacy, and a trustee of Vision Homes Association which supports people with complex and multiple disabilities.

Stephanie Moran joined the trust as a member on 25th January 2018 and holds a BA (hons) Degree in Primary Education alongside a wealth of Education Experience. Stephanie provides a strong link with the Primary Education Sector, having worked as a head teacher across a number of Primary schools since 2000. Within this time, Stephanie has also worked for the Local Authority in Stoke on Trent, and at present is the Executive Principal and accounting officer of the ESPRIT Multi Academy Trust comprising of three primary schools within the West Midlands. Stephanie shares the visions of the Amethyst Academies trust, and our commitment to improving the life chances of students within the trust.
Karen is a founding member of the Amethyst Academies trust. Prior to this appointment, Karen was a long-standing school Governor on Aldersley High School’s Full Governing Body, where she sat as a parent governor. Karen has two children who have since graduated from Aldersley High School and have gone on to obtain successful degree-level qualifications. With over 10 years of school governing experience, Karen has made significant contributions to the strategic performance of the trust. Karen is an active member of the community, and engages in charity work, as a link between school and the local community. Karen works as an accountant for Lloyds Bank in Wolverhampton.
Before retiring, Carrie was a member of the teaching profession for over 40 years, 30 of which were spent at Aldersley High School as a teacher and member of the Leadership Team. As well as mainstream education Carrie has also worked at Lawnswood Federation of Secondary PRUs as a teacher and member of the Leadership Team, now as a member of the Management Board. Carrie has Qualified Teacher status and an MA in Education as well as the NPQH qualification. She is passionate about the education of young people, especially ensuring that those who face barriers to their learning are afforded every possible opportunity and receive the correct levels of support.
